The services include the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"title_text\">Personal Care Tasks <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet col2\">\n<li>Bathing\n<li>Feeding\n<li>Shaving\n<li>Brushing teeth\n<li>Washing, drying and brushing\/combing hair\n<li>Washing hands\/face\n<li>Applying makeup and non-prescription lotion\n<li>Dressing\n<li>Changing diapers\n<li>Assisting on\/off bedpan\n<li>Help with use of urinal\n<li>Assisting with feminine hygiene needs\n<li>Assisting with clothing during toileting\n<li>Assisting with hygiene\n<li>Preparing toileting supplies and equipment\n<li>Emptying catheter bag or colostomy bag\n<li>Changing external catheter\n<li>Transferring you from one position to another on the bed or chair\n<li>Assisting you with putting on\/removing leg braces and prostheses\n<li>Assisting with wheelchair\n<li>Reminding you to take your medicine\n<li>Preparing your meals\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong class=\"title_text\">Housekeeping Tasks <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet col2\">\n<li>Cleaning living area: dusting and vacuuming\n<li>Cleaning bathroom\n<li>Cleaning stove and counters\n<li>Defrosting and cleaning refrigerator inside and out\n<li>Carrying out trash\n<li>Washing and drying your clothes\n<li>Changing your bed linens and making bed\n<li>Washing your dishes\n<li>Preparing grocery or household item shopping list\n<li>Going to store to buy and pick up grocery items or medications\n<li>Putting food away\n<li>Escort: Accompanying you to the doctor&#8217;s clinic or destinations (Note: Additional time is not allotted fc escort services for purposes other than to medical appointments. However, an individual may substitu escort services for time allotted to another task.)\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Services that are not usually done on a weekly basis to keep you or your house clean. For example: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet\">\n<li>Moving heavy furniture\n<li>Washing windows\n<li>Yard work\n<li>Supervision &#8211; sitting service\n<li>Giving you a permanent\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Services that must be provided by a person with professional or technical training, such as: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet\">\n<li>Changing a catheter\n<li>Changing a colostomy\n<li>Washing infected parts of the body\n<li>Tube feeding\n<li>Injections\n<li>Giving you medicine that is ordered by your doctor\n<li>Applying an ointment to your skin that is ordered by your doctor\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Services that also help those you live with unless those persons also receive attendant services from HHSC.
